Can you please help? The library has to find a whopping £12,000 to replace the roof and sort out damp problems. This, only three years after the property developer converted most of the building into private accommodation.
The library depends on donations for its sustainability. Please donate to our Roof Fund Appeal by using the button on the righthand side of this page.
When Brent Council closed the library, amid mass protest, the building reverted to the freeholder, All Souls College Oxford. The College declined to return the building to the community, instead selling it to property developers.
The resulting development has many issues, leaving the library as leaseholder paying for major repairs. It costs £100 a day to keep the library open – and now this! Please help us. Thank you very much!
