Library Jabs December 14th 10am-4pm

Another walk-in vaccine session is arranged for Tuesday 14th December 10am-4pm, so great was the community’s demand at our first ever session on 7th December. Boosters available to over-18s if after three months since their 2nd vaccine (before 12 September 2021), and 1st and 2nd jabs for the over-12s.

The vaccine queue formed early at the first vaccine session

The Health Team were amazed at the wonderful response from our community to take their jabs at Kensal Rise Library at the first walk-in last Tuesday. Due to demand, the Team had to mobilise two extra vaccine deliveries on the day – and an entire third team of vaccinators – to cope with the rush. The outcome: 180 people received their vaccinations at the library.

The vaccines are administered on a first-come-first-served basis at the walk-in. As about 70 people were turned away last Tuesday, the medics asked to return to the library for more sessions. The eligibility guidelines have since changed, lowering the age and giving younger people the opportunity to get their jabs too on 14th December. Best to arrive early, as once the vaccines run out – that’s it.

Councillor Claudia Hector receiving her jab:”I feel invigorated after each vaccination and am particularly thrilled to get my booster at Kensal Rise Library”
