Exciting and Moving Exhibition of Refugee Artists
Kensal Rise Community Library is thrilled to host the powerful “Human Rights Today” exhibition, celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Council of Europe! This unique showcase features thought-provoking artworks from refugee artists, and local youth in Brent, brought together by WE RESTART Charity.
🌍 Exhibition highlights include:
- “Sudan: Stolen Dreams” by Maisson Hassan
- “Right to Equality” by Sareh Moradi
- “Unhomed” by Olga Kuznetsova
Maisson Hassan was tortured in her native Sudan. She was Sudan’s UN Ambassador, and continues to paint as a refugee in the UK. Olga Kutznetsova, who has fled Belarus, is showing work that explores the interior landscape of a forced migrant. There is also a piece by Sarah Moradi and Brent Youth.
