February 28th Strategy Workshop Report

On February 28^th 2026 KRL patrons, volunteers and trustees (around 30 in total) gathered at the library for our “Next Chapter – Shaping the Library’s Future” workshop to share thoughts and ideas; learn about upcoming plans and projects and help write the next chapter for Kensal Rise Library.

Our thanks to facilitator Sian O’Keefe for chairing an energising, positive and hugely helpful event.  The ideas that were generated that afternoon are going to be critical as the board starts drafting a five year strategy and accompanying business plan. As the February 28^th discussions underlined, there is no shortage of ambition for what our library can achieve for our community. The difficult decisions will be around how we match capacity and resource to our ideas.

We are planning a second session with volunteers and patrons in May that will present and discuss the draft strategy and business plan – we’ll be sending out details closer to the time.
